We encourage posters who are active in the community to share progress videos. Posts asking for donations (including GoFundMe links) fall under this rule as well. We ask that you maintain a 9:1 ratio of participation in the sub to self-promotion repeated posts without further community participation will be removed. We want you to engage, not promote and run. Posts with links to social media (IG, TikTok, YouTube, etc., including video watermarks) with the goal of getting views are strongly discouraged and may be deleted at mods' discretion. You can find it by typing that text in the search box on the top of the subreddit. Please limit buy / sell / trade posts to the weekly "Saturday Skate Market" post, which is posted on Saturday mornings. This includes "I'm thinking about buying X, what does everyone think?" and "what size should I get?" The weekly thread is the spot for this, and there is also lots of info in the wiki.īecause questions about buying skates and wheels are posted frequently, please limit these to the weekly discussion thread.
In order to limit repetitive posts, the following topics should be posted in the daily new-skater thread/discussion ONLY: General newbie questions ("I'm new and don't know where to start," "Is skating for me?" etc.) very basic questions about hardware and skate setup, particularly "what wheels should I get" and similar.
